Make an interpreted call

Call a contact who speaks another language; each of you hears the other in your own language.

Add the person first: Contacts › +, type their email and tap Add. Only people who already have MyInterpreter are found.

Tap the green call button next to their name.

You see Calling… while their phone rings. If they do not answer in about 45 seconds, the call is marked as missed.

When they answer, both of you are told that an AI interpreter is translating. If a conversation record is set, each of you can Accept or choose No record.

Speak in complete sentences and pause briefly at the end. While you speak, the other person sees "[your name] is speaking…"; after your sentence, their phone speaks the translation.

Use Mute, Speaker and the red button to hang up.

Good to know

There are no subtitles during the call — only voice. Past calls are in Calls.
