Conversation record levels

Choose what is kept from your calls — or nothing at all.

  1. 1

Go to Profile › Conversation record.

  2. 2

Pick a level: Off (default — only the basic call record), Text (what each person said and its translation), Text + audio (also the clean clip of each speaker's voice and the audio the listener heard) or Certified (everything, sealed as proof: a chain of fingerprints, device signatures, an RFC 3161 timestamp and a Bitcoin anchor).

  3. 3

Pick how long it is kept: 30 days, 1 year or 5 years.

  4. 4

Your level is proposed at the start of each call and used only if the other person also accepts; if the levels differ, the lower one applies.

  5. 5

Recorded calls show a badge in Calls: Recorded, or Certified · anchored in Bitcoin.

Good to know
The Certified level is for people 18 or older. A Certified record proves integrity, time, origin and consent — not that the translation is accurate. See the Terms of Use.
